T J Smith Stakes
The TJ Smith Stakes is a Group 1 thoroughbred race run by the Australian Turf Club. The race is a run at Weight for Age conditions and held over a distance of 1,200 metres.
The race is held annually at Rosehill Racecourse in Sydney, Australia on the same day as the ATC Australian Derby and is a feature event in the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival with a total prize of $2,500,000.
Due to the high stakes of the event, the T J Smith Stakes attracts some of the nations best sprinters each year.
