Queen Elizabeth Stakes
The Queen Elizabeth Stakes is a Group 1 weight-for-age race run by the Australian Turf Club. The race is usually held on the same day as the Sydney Cup during the ATC Autumn Carnival in April or May.
The Prize money in 2014 has been increased to A$4,000,000 which makes the Queen Elizabeth the world’s richest 2000m turf race.
