Centrebet is an online bookmaker licensed in the Northern Territory of Australia.
Centrebet was established in 1992 and was the first licensed bookmaker in the Southern Hemisphere to offer online sports betting.
Over the years Centrebet has change hands several times. It’s now currently owned by the William Hill Australia who acquired the brand back in 2013.
Mid way through 2016, Centrebet was merged into the William Hill brand and was shut down for the foreseeable future.
But in 2017 it was relaunched as a no-frills and no-nonsense operation for serious racing punters, seeking to offer some of the biggest metro limits and best odds.
Since its relaunch Centrebet has more of a focus on Australian horse racing, although it still offers a good range of Australian sports markets and International racing and sports markets.
The Centrebet website and app may look a little outdated but they still provide punters with a fast-user-friendly interface with a great layout.
With its new no-frills approach, Centrebet no longer offers promotions or bonuses to punters although it still offers a great range of betting odds products on selected races, including CentreOdds, CentreBest, CentreTop and CentreMid.
If you are looking for cutting edge technology and heaps of promotions and betting features, then Centrebet is probably not the bookie for you. But if you are a high stakes punter looking for bigger betting limits then Centrebet is well worth a look.
